A ghostly girl
Do you see her or not
She’s both here and not
She comes only to you

She comes only at night
She comes once, she comes twice
And you thought it was forever
But no way, she’s not forever
When she comes — write quickly
When she leaves — search for her soon
When you find her — don’t let her go
Even though you know she’ll leave again

But that will happen later
Right now, put it down
All your thoughts on a sheet of paper
Or at least into your phone

The muse comes, she leaves, she flies
Like a shadow echoing in your mind
Don’t lose the moment, write what you will
She’ll come back to you again at night

And even if it doesn’t flow
Write a couple of lines down
And leave it like that, finish later
About whatever your soul finds important
She’s like a ray in empty silence
And you catch the gifts she brings
Your words, your dreams
She carries them into new worlds

But that will happen later
Right now, put it down
