True Bad Boys, VØNTAK, almost real. Alibi

Neon alibi, alibi
Say my name and the street forgets me

You're my neon alibi
Alibi, alibi
Every red light turns to gold
When you are dancing next to me
Neon alibi
Alibi, alibi
Let the morning ask me why
I'll say I don't remember, honestly

Midnight sidewalk, tape hiss in the air
Your jacket smells like rain and cheap cologne
We stole a postcard from a hotel drawer
And wrote our names in a language of our own

You're my neon alibi
Alibi, alibi
Every red light turns to gold
When you are dancing next to me
Neon alibi
Alibi, alibi
Let the morning ask me why
I'll say I don't remember, honestly

The arcade windows burn the same as then
Two tokens left, we spend them on a song
You laugh like static on a cheap cassette
And I keep pressing play all night long

You're my neon alibi
Alibi, alibi
Every red light turns to gold
When you are dancing next to me
Neon alibi
Alibi, alibi
Let the morning ask me why
I'll say I don't remember, honestly

Neon alibi, alibi
Say my name and the street forgets me
