Andy Ragga, L'entourloop, Let Babylon Burn Blessings

The sky was dark for many days, my spirit feeling dry
I watched the clouds roll over and I asked the question why
The ground beneath my feet was cracked, the rivers disappear
I couldn't find a single drop to wash away my tears

But then I heard a rumble, a whisper from above
The clouds began to open like a blessing, like a dove
And water started falling on my face and on my land
I lifted up my hands and let it flow right through my hands

Blessings in the rain, falling on my soul
Every drop a mercy that will make me whole
Wash away the sorrow, wash away the pain
Jah is sending blessings, blessings in the rain
Let it pour, let it flow, let it clean my heart
Every storm is a promise of a brand new start

The children running barefoot, laughing in the street
The old folks on the porch, they're tapping with their feet
The farmers in the valley see their hope come back to life
The seeds beneath the soil feel the ending of the strife

I used to curse the weather when the rain came pouring down
But now I see the purpose, I see the holy crown
The rain it has no favorites, it falls on everyone
A reminder from the heavens that we're all beneath the sun

Blessings in the rain, falling on my soul
Every drop a mercy that will make me whole
Wash away the sorrow, wash away the pain
Jah is sending blessings, blessings in the rain
Let it pour, let it flow, let it clean my heart
Every storm is a promise of a brand new start
