I sing to the clouds
I sing to the sky
I sing to the wind
Though it changes its mind
I sing to the valleys
I sing to the seas
Through the fury of storms
And the soft summer breeze

I sing to it all
And I bow to it all
This temple no hands ever made
Just one step inside
And I enter my peace
Where the noise of the world starts to fade

I may turn to a breeze
I may turn to a sound
Or become the silence itself
Then that silence will fill
With a music not born
Of anything known in this world

And everything moves
In one beautiful dance
Till the whole of creation is me
Then the final chord sounds
And at last I can hear
My own living voice, wild and free

And after, I'll come back
But I'll never be quite
The same as the one who withdrew
Maybe next time around
I'll return as a poet
With a whole different story to tell
