What on Earth is a Human Being?
One big knot of contradictions!
Heart on fire, eyes ice-cold
Breezy laughs and words so bold!
Like a thousand blows that land
In a logical world gone mad!

Now he's lost inside his madness
One second later — full of gladness!
Then he's frozen, suffering through
And cursing Satan all anew!

Even God could never find
How to keep Mankind in line!
Down from Heaven God once fell —
From Prince to mud, and straight to hell!

Raised upon a pedestal
Then once again — down came the fall!
When they nailed Him, bitterly He spat
And sadly thought, “Well, fancy that…”

“I've made God knows what — somehow!
I don't understand it now!
I can't make sense of what I've made
But without it, I can't stay!

I simply cannot live my life
Without keeping Humans in my sight!
My favorite Game, both night and day
Guessing Where? What? When? — and Why?
What will Humans do this time?”

But strangely, even though I'm God
This is one Game I've never won!
I sent them Signs and revelations
Pushed them words and inspiration!

I threw down Bricks from rooftops too
Then hit one with an Apple — BOOM!
And still I haven't got a clue
Why can't I understand you?!
