From Monday dawn to Friday night, it's an endless fight
Then crash upon the sofa, I'm completely out of sight!
Each day repeats the one before, like echoes in my mind
I need to rest and break away, leave all the stress behind!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! I've waited so long!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! Stay with me, sing along!
They tell me "Life's ahead of you!" I hear what they impart
But time just slips like grains of sand, it's breaking up my heart
Only in moments of freedom, beneath the golden sky
I feel the pulse of living beat, stronger, reaching high!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! I've waited so long!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! Stay with me, sing along!
Work, work, it's straight ahead, a never-ending line
Weekdays all look just the same, one day at a time
I want to live another way, to break the mold, break free
But now I'm drained and worn right through, as tired as I can be!
I don't complain, oh no! I never like to whine
Just need to gather up my strength, to keep this heart of mine!
I only need my freedom, like wind across the plain
And sunshine bright to melt my fears, and wash away the pain!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! I've waited so long!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! Stay with me, sing along!
The sea, the sun, the golden sand – that is my ideal
To run away from ticking clocks, to make the moment real
I need a charge to come back strong, to face the week anew
To start again with brighter steps, and make my dreams come true!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! I've waited so long!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! Stay with me, sing along!
This drive, this rhythm calls me on, it pulls me far away
From all the routine, all the gray, I'm breaking free today!
I shout this joyful, wild call, this freedom in my voice
My beloved vacation, you're the reason I rejoice!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! I've waited so long!
O-o-o-o-o! This vacation!
A-a-a-a-a-a! Stay with me, sing along!
O-o-o-o-o!
A-a-a-a-a-a!
Stay with me... sing along!
