Took Anadyr, Khroma in stride

A century passed and they go
To waters Antarctic and vast
The sloop Mirny sailed through the snow
To land that was lost in the past
They circled the deep Southern Sea
And struggled through mountains of ice
The shape of the land broke out free
On maps by their bold sacrifice

But who found Antarctica first?
To us it is clear as the day
Our rivals may argue and burst
It hurts them to hear what we say
Beneath the Imperial crest
