Must be awed by its image

Anubis waits for the Pharaohs
There, he leads them—no returning
Through Duat’s gates, ever yearning
With a whip, the overseer
Rules the slave with cruel might
And the sandstone breaks to pieces
Under hammer's endless fight
For the Pharaoh, glory rises
Honor, riches, endless fame
All in reverence and splendor
Hymns that praise his name
All! All that he pleases
All is laid beneath him

Once again, I see the tomb
Flames devour it, tongues consume
Suddenly, with hammers strong
I shatter stone that stood so long
Now a Pharaoh I’ve become
All bow down, I’m worshipped, numb
Yet my mind begins to stray
Waking slowly from the sway
