NEONIK 68, NEONIK 68 Children of the Sun

The universes an endless ocean
Our Earth a fragile little ark
Through frozen fields of dark devotion
We drift away and vanish in the dark

Somewhere deep inside the cosmic spiral
Where Milky Way extends her silver arms
Inside the ancient Goldilocks horizon
We search for words to guide us through the storms

We are the children of the Sun and Earth
The grandchildren of the Milky Way
Though we are lonely in this silent universe
The stars keep calling us away

This gift of life was given only once
Can we protect it from the cold and fear?
This sacred green and blue world of wonder
And pass it on through all the coming years

We fly together with our lonely planet
Through endless frost and cosmic gravity
The golden Sun became our guiding beacon
And Moonlight travels here beside me

We are the children of the Sun and Earth
The grandchildren of the Milky Way
Though we are lonely in this silent universe
The stars keep calling us away

The planets dance around their mother star
Moving in circles through eternal night
Spiraling slowly through the dark forever
Carrying oceans to the distant lights

But is there meaning in this endless motion
Across the frozen emptiness of space?
We search for answers both on Earth and Heaven
In golden sunlight and the shadows face

We are the children of the Sun and Earth
The grandchildren of the Milky Way
Though we are lonely in this silent universe
The stars keep calling us away

We fly across the cosmos toward forever
Our traces fading in the Milky Way
Perhaps the meaning of this life is endlessness
A spark eternal that will never fade away

We are the children of the Sun and Earth
The grandchildren of the Milky Way
Though we are lonely in this silent universe
The stars keep calling us away

Children of the Sun
Into the Milky Way
Eternity
