A stormy night, the thunder rolls
The ink is black, it takes its tolls
On paper sheets, a world in lines
Then lightning strikes, the frame confines
I wake inside a world I drew
In black and white and shades of blue
A villain's laugh, a twisted game
He's in my world, he speaks my name
A voice on the radio's static hum
She calls my name, the chosen one
General's eyes, a hopeful plea
She thinks a hero lives in me
You're here to save us from this fate
But I'm just an artist, much too late
And from above, a hand descends
My own creator, he pretends
That he's a god, and with his pen
He draws a monster, once again
Trapped inside the Comix Zone!
A world of paper, ink, and stone
Page by page, I turn the fight
Mortus draws with all his might
I'm living in a two-tone dream
A silent, never-ending scream
Got to get back, got to break free
From this paper fantasy
My only friend, a little rat
Roadkill's here, and that is that
He helps me find a hidden way
To live and fight another day
But Mortus watches, burns the page
Engulfs the panel in his rage
The final frame, a ticking bomb
So far away from where I'm from
Alissa's trapped, the fluid's high
A final choice to live or die
One last battle, face to face
To win a war, to leave this place
Escape the lines, the colors bleed
Back to my world, Alissa freed
The comic's closed, the story's told
Brave and bold brave and bold
